Wild Nothing, the dream-pop project of the multi-talented Jack Tatum, presents a third studio album ‘Indigo’ on 31 August, out via Captured Tracks (Thee Oh Sees, The Soft Moon, DIIV, …). The album was produced by Jorge Elbrecht (who we know from the likes of Ariel Pink) and has a heap of ‘80s synth influences.
The Rotterdam hip-hop collective with Antillean, Dominican and Cape Verdean roots is crazy popular in The Netherlands. Asmâa Hamzaoui is one of the youngest representatives of Gnawa music, a genre rooted in Sub-Sahara African slaves in Morocco. With her band Bnat Timbouktou, she offers a mix of poetry, music and dance. The hypnotising and mystical Gnawa music is believed to have a therapeutic effect.
